Dusty Old Archives

Here are some of my first and only real attempts at oil painting which date back to my college days. The two night blue sky paintings were done over a few months and the nuclear blast painting was done in two days. (It was an experiment to see how fast I could go from start to finish and maintain some quality control....don't think that happened in any of these paintings though.) Now these paintings are rolled up in tubes and locked in storage along with all my other junk I can't seem to part with yet. Hope you enjoy a look into my art past. The past 10 years since college have been somewhat void of any work but I managed to squeeze some odd pieces in here and there. I hope to get those rare few up for viewing as well. Please feel free to comment on my work. Thanks for checking these paintings out.

Reverse Culture Shock

Here is a quick piece about reverse culture shock after living in Japan for a few years. (Atleast this is what I experienced) It was published in the JETAA NY Newsletter, thanks to Steven Horowitz. Without him I would have no place to get my work out there. Much appreciation.

Recent rumbles and groans from Old Baine's

Its been a while. I think I am not the true blogger type. Months since my last post, I still have little to post that might be of interest to anyone. Just want to get something posted so I don't get too rusty.
Here are a few projects I had started but have not gotten around to completeing them. Like most projects I start, they don't get to the completion stage. Here is a paper pumpkin lantern I created for the fun of it but plan on getting it into a production mode before the next Halloween rolls around. The other Coke can guy is a quick attempt to get a character animated to test my stop-motion skills. I am not quitting my day job just yet. Lots of hard work and skills are still needed to get me out of my hole. Thats all for now. Later!

Nothing Special

Nothing Special to post these days. Nubus and Pint have been under construction for a new direction regarding their story line and other art projects are in the works. Keep checking back from time to time to see new illustrations for my children's picture book written for elementary school students who are learning English as a second language. Later!
